In celebration of its 80th Anniversary and the completion of a $240 million restoration, The Four Seasons The Biltmore Santa Barbara is partnering with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. As part of this partnership, The Biltmore will be hosting the official Modern Master After-Party in honor of the Modern Master Award being presented to Will Smith earlier in the evening.

To further commemorate this occasion The Biltmore has created 'The Modern Master,' a drink inspired by the Festival's annual award. Below is the recipe for the signature cocktail created with Acai juice - the super juice from Brazil - and will be the featured cocktail of the Relaunch and Modern Master parties. I've also attached a release about the Modern Master event that has inspired its creation.

The Modern Master

2oz Vodka
2oz Acai Juice
1oz Pineapple Juice
1oz Cranberry Juice
Dash Ginger-Lemongrass Syrup

Combine vodka, acai, cranberry & pineapple juice. Add dash of ginger lemongrass syrup and pour into a sugar rimmed Martini glass.


What is Açai?
Açai (ah-sci-ee) is a rainforest berry - a small, dark purple fruit that grows on palm trees on the floodplains of the Amazon basin. Recent scientific study has earned it the enviable title of “world's healthiest fruit" in part, because it is likely to be the world's highest antioxidant fruit.

What are antioxidants? Antioxidants are compounds that help to inhibit premature aging, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer disease by neutralizing free radicals. Free radicals, in simple terms, are unstable atoms or molecules present in the body that can cause damage to cells, protein and DNA.

What is agave nectar? Agave is a cactus like succulent from which a fructose sweetener is derived. It has a light neutral flavor that compliments the flavor of açai. Agave nectar is added to improve sweetness.

Are Bossa Nova juices organic? It is produced from the highest quality, wild-harvested açai, naturally free of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.
